International ME/CFS Conference 2026

Scientific Conference centred on the latest findings from research on disease mechanisms and insights from clinical trials investigating treatments for ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome) and post-COVID syndrome. The two-day hybrid event is directed at medical professionals, researchers and interdisciplinary experts in the fields of medicine and biology.


The event takes place as an online livestream broadcast from the Harnack House of the Max Planck Society in Berlin, Germany. Presentations will be held in English. Day two of the Conference will feature an afternoon Symposium for a German speaking audience (programme to be announced).

Registration for online participation will open in mid-February. More speakers will be announced soon.

Under the stewardship of Prof Carmen Scheibenbogen, Director of the Division of Immunodeficiencies and Post-infectious Diseases and the Charité Fatigue Center (CFC) at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, the Conference will bring together leading international experts to present the latest research on ME/CFS.

Contributions will be centred on the latest findings from research on disease mechanisms; ranging from insights into genetics, biomarkers, and imaging, to vascular, neuronal, immune and metabolic dysfunction. Day two of the Conference will be entirely centred on showcasing recent data and results from clinical trials investigating treatments, with a focus on interventions targeting immune dysregulation. 

Contributions will be centred on ME/CFS, while also highlighting research on Long COVID and post-COVID syndrome.

Videos, presentations and short summaries of the lectures will be made publicly available after the event.
