Dr Jakob Johne presented the project "An integrative approach for primary care physician-coordinated, needs-based care for post-viral illnesses and ME/CFS to improve participation (GRACI)". The goal is to support the needs-based care for patients with post-viral illnesses and ME/CFS. It should ultimately help to improve the situation around social and occupational participation of patients. The project aims to support primary care physicians in the diagnostic process as well as treatment selection using a so-called "toolbox." The toolbox will ultimately be tested in everyday care as part of a controlled pilot project in northern and southern Germany. It is the first of its kind to support primary care physicians in the care of this patient group. The toolbox is thought to serve in providing better guidance and build a trusting doctor-patient relationship.
