BMG-Versorgungsstudie: PAIS Care Berlin - Post Acute Infectious Syndromes Interdisciplinary Care Berlin

Dr Kirsten Wittke presented the project "Post-Acute Infectious Syndromes Interdisciplinary Care Berlin (PAIS Care Berlin)," which aims to establish a healthcare network for patients with post-acute infectious syndromes (PAIS) in the state of Berlin. Using a staged model involving general practitioners, specialists, and university outpatient clinics, and by utilising existing healthcare structures in Berlin, patients will receive professional care, starting from the very onset of their illness, and tailored to the severity of their illness. Needs-based structures for the care of severely affected patients, psychotherapeutic support services, physical medicine services, and vocational reintegration management for PAIS are key elements that will be applied and evaluated for their suitability under this project.
