Dr Meike Dirks presented the project "OutreAch MediCal Care for HousEbound Patients with Post-COVID Syndrome or ME/CFS of any cause (ACCESS)," which aims to determine the prevalence of severe forms of Long COVID as well as ME/CFS due to other causes. The project's goal is to keep track of clinical characteristics, diagnosis, risk factors, and the impact of the disease on the lives of patients and their families/caregivers. The focus lies on patients who are homebound or bedridden. Individualised treatment plans will be developed for these patients, and the impact of monthly consultations on health status and the burden of caregivers will be investigated. The results of the project should ultimately contribute to the creation of care services able to alleviate symptoms of severe forms of Post-COVID Syndrome and ME/CFS.
