Immunoadsorption in severely ill ME/CFS

Dr. Georg Schlieper is a specialist in internal medicine and nephrology and specialises in lipid apheresis and immunoadsorption. Dr. Schlieper studied medicine in Düsseldorf and later worked as a managing senior physician at the Clinic for Kidney and Hypertension Diseases, Rheumatological and Immunological Diseases at RWTH Aachen University Hospital in Germany. His research focuses on cardiovascular diseases in patients with kidney disease, as well as mineral balance and vascular calcification. Since 2018, he has been part of the Hannover Dialysis Center (Center for Kidney, Hypertension and Metabolic Diseases). The practice specialises, among other things, in immunoadsorption therapy for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases. The procedure of immunoadsorption is used to specifically remove antibodies and immune complexes from the blood of patients.
